Three Act Tragedy. By Agatha Christie.

Three Act Tragedy

Agatha Christie

Harper. First published 1935.

Another Hercule Poirot mystery. At a party organized at his seaside resort house by an aging but still attractive actor, one of the guests, an innocuous local pastor, suddenly drops dead. He had just sipped a cocktail, though this is later found to be free from any poison. The death is put down to natural circumstances, until a few weeks later, another similar death occurs at another party where some of the guests from the first party are also present. Poirot, who was present at the first party, investigates, and a produces a surprising, but slightly unsatisfactory solution.
